busy morning, also known as ADD

Posted by UkraineJane, 24.02.2008, 7:23 in hee-hee ha-ha

woke up, checked my bberry. closed my eyes - cant sleep. got up, got on the computer, checked whatever is there to check on all the websites that i check and answered some emails. thought that it is a good idea to shower. showered.decided to eat, instead went to put up music. got stuck on facebook. thought that i should do my laundry. started picking things that need to be washed. noticed the DremWeaver CD laying around. started installing DreamWeaver onto the desktop. Thought that I need to do some work. then thought that i should eat first. got a phone call. got off the phone, checked my gchat. went to the kitchen, opened the box with cranberries, froze with it thinking about how i will calculate the costs's growth and what should go into them. heard a crappy song playing, went to change it. tripped over laundry on the way. picked up some more things into the laundry pile. remembered my cereal. ate, finally.
this observation explains how some of us constantly forget to eat.

Posted by UkraineJane, 07.12.2007, 18:03 in hee-hee ha-ha

"father" has returned, thus i was taken with the family to see Moby spinning
on the other hand, it is important to report that almost all of my twenty some little sons who i coach swimming can backfloat. i am a very proud mom, i daresay.

witch hat

Posted by UkraineJane, 02.12.2007, 21:28 in hee-hee ha-ha

i wore a witch hat 11:30 pm till 5am. it was a hit, though some found it very annoying and stupid. i am foreva with those who did not.
now, a tip of the day: girls, quit the short skirts, move on to witch hats. that will get you a different kind of crowd biggrin.gif

i watched one of the funniest movies i have ever seen tonight at Galapagos Moviehouse , called The Graduate.
i thought Bohdana's movie was very good-looking. i dont know how else to describe the way i perceived it.

I am half through Aldous Huxley's Doors of Perception & Heaven and Hell. As i was reading, i thought of this one experience, and how it so fits with Huxley’s ideas. I wrote this poem called an old tiger, which was about somebody smiling at me. every person who has commented on it said that the poem was clearly about sex. ahhh, we perceive based on the previous experiences, not immediately. once i heard "the other side," i was amazed by how gross and perverted the poem could appear.

we have to end with this song. it is fits both, the movie and the book.

dav and nyc thru the yellow glasses

Posted by UkraineJane, 01.10.2007, 4:12 in hee-hee ha-ha

after all the people in the subway are freaked out, after all the soviet children's songs are sung in the streets, and after the votes are cast, it is totally ok for both of us to waste some money at a hair salon.

yes, it's all no good, but at the end Russians get nothing. even Yanyk is turning pro-Western. now, that is one good joke!
we'll see what the coalitions will be.

almost forgot. this was rather alarming and thought-provoking. i had to kill about 40 mins around the Herald Square today, so went into Macy's. I wondered around, when i suddenly saw this one woman. She was an expensive kind of woman. That i deduced from location+hair+bag. (Yes, I had all three today as well, but that was just today biggrin.gif) She was messing with some pricy jacket when her phone suddenly rang. She picked up, and i heard the most heart-broken-upset talking i have heard in a while. Her age + familiarity in her voice + picking up the convo where it was apparently left several hours ago => it was her husband. He did not hang with her today, though promised. Automatically i thought, "oh, those rich, they never have their act togther." The next thing i thought was "why do i judge the rich by a different standard, trying to pinpoint every little detail of how they must be so unhappy?" How arrogant of me. I mentally slapped myself, and walked away. Still, this woman's frustration and tears after she hung up the phone were too much.

afterwards

Posted by UkraineJane, 28.09.2007, 15:00 in hee-hee ha-ha

by the morning there was no sign of it; thus, the only thing that is left to do is to laugh and run around again. It's just a sinusoid with an unknown frequency. If only people listened to what they are told, I do my part pretty well otherwise and almost never slip.

gotta luv our politicians.

it was brought to my attention that i cry too much. well listen, buddy, some people get drunk, some yell at others, some go for a jog. i cry. it's environmentally-friendly and nobody has to see it. crying saves the world, my world that is.

the stats with proofs book and the finance book should be coming in the mail soon. what a good little girl i am. now i need to find sb to make sure i read them and to discuss them with me. i dont play well alone. that's the only drawback smile.gif

The Wait
(Rainer Maria Rilke, translated by A. Poulin)

It is life in slow motion,
it's the heart in reverse,
it's a hope-and-a-half:
too much and too little at once.
It's a train that suddenly stops
with no station around,
and we can hear the cricket, and,
leaning out the carriage door,
we vainly contemplate a wind we feel
that stirs the blooming meadows,
the meadows made imaginary by this stop.
